Thanksgiving Dinner

Back in Bama!

We are finally back in Alabama! I got here on Wednesday and Adam got here on Friday. We have just been hangin out with my family and a few friends. It is realllly cold here so I have had to swap out all of the summer clothes that I took to the Dominican and Florida and break out the sweaters and Ugg boots! I am usually not a fan of the cold weather, but it's a nice little change, for right now :)

On Wednesday when I got here I went and saw my Mom at work, then I went to pick up Hunter from school! I picked him up early because I didn't want to have to sit around and wait, so he was glad he got to leave school much earlier than usual! We went to eat at Willy T's then it was off to the mall to visit Santa! We weren't positive that he was there yet, but he was and there were zero people in line! He was SO excited! The deal was that if he sat in Santa's lap, so did I. He told Santa that he wanted a dirt bike with training wheels ( it's really just a bicycle that looks like a dirt bike), an Alabama football uniform, and a Tony Stewart race car. I was surprised that the list stopped after just three things, but I guess that's just all he could think of at the time! Hunter even told Santa that I have been a good girl this year...I couldn't agree any better! After we got our picture taken we had to go write him a letter at the Letter Station, just so he wouldn't forget what Hunter told him he wanted..then it was off to get a cookie!

Friday night when Adam got into town we took Hunter bowling at Bama Bowl. It was a lot of fun! Although I am not too proud to say that I got beat by a 5 year old, Hunter was thrilled that he beat me. The sad part about it though, is that I really did try to win, and we even had bumpers. So the boys teased me all the way home about that one. Hunter was exhausted and fell asleep as soon as we got in the car!

Saturday we just hung out at my brothers house and played with Hunter and Taelor. I can't believe how big she is getting! She is such a good baby, too! She just follows Hunter around and giggles at everything he does, it is so cute! After hanging out with them for a while Adam and I made a trip to visit our friends Lance and Jamie Cormier and their adorable son LJ! It was a lot of fun and we hope to do it again!

Sunday Adam and I took Hunter to church with us at Calvary. Hunter took his Bible with him and told us all about David and "Goliaf" on the way there. It's amazing at how much he knows about the Bible and all of the stories..he can tell you anything about it all! During church I gave him 2 packs of Gushers and a honey bun so he was all sugared up when it was over! After church Adam spent the day at Barnes and Noble and I just went to my Moms house and hung out until he was done! We met back up at Panera Bread and had dinner then went to the movies! On the drive from FL to AL I stopped in Gainesville at a Books-a-million and bought the Twilight book on CD and listened to it for the rest of the trip. I had told myself that I wasn't going to jump on that bandwagon but I just couldn't help myself! The book on CD is 13 hours long and I only had about 5 hours left of driving! Every time I would get in the car I would just listen to the book and I made it almost to the end yesterday and I just couldn't help myself, I HAD to go to the movies and see the movie that came out on Thursday. I couldn't wait any longer to find out what happened! The movie was AMAZING!!! I am officially in love with Edward Cullen!! I still want to finish listening to the book on CD and then move on the the next one! I can't wait!

I have been doing a lot of photo shop on my computer lately so I thought I would share a few of those pictures! I did these a while ago but never got around to posting them!

I hope everyone has a great week!!

Lazy Bum...

That is definitely what I feel like tonight! I am sitting here watching the Alabama vs Mississippi State game in Adams room. He is at his friend Karl's house with the boys tonight. They are watching the Alabama game and playing the Wii. I am not with him because we went and played the Tiger Woods 2009 on the Wii last night and I am freakishly sore from it! It must have been a good work out! I am actually really good at the game! I was beating all 3 guys for quite some time last night, but then got bored and lost focus, and I ended up in last place. Whatever though, I am still amazing at it :) Adam and I went to a real driving range today, where I also did fabulous...I call myself the Vladimir Guerrero of golf. I have no form or anything, but I just swing really hard and hope to hit the ball. It has worked so far but I don't think my career is going to last too long doing that. There isn't a gym here that I can work out at so to stay busy we usually go for a bike ride, and we have brought out the old school roller blades a few times. Thankfully, many people in FL still think it's cool to roller blade, so I don't feel too retarded.

One night last week we went down to the beach to watch the sunset (aww, soo romantical I know). It was really pretty, there were a couple of dolphins swimming around which I was just so fascinated with, and clearly no one else was. I felt like such a tourist, most of the people have probably lived here their whole life and have seen dolphins all the time so they probably thought I was a freak every time I screamed when one would come up for air.
Adam got a call on Thursday ( I think) about two winterball teams in Mexico that were talking about him. He will know FOR SURE on Monday if he is going or not. If he isn't going, we are headed to my aunt's house on Tuesday then going to Bama on Wednesday! Whoop Whoop! Adam will only be there for a month but I will be there until Christmas, I am excited! We are going to be there for the Bama vs Auburn game and we can't wait! We have to find some tickets though! My Dad has 4 season tickets, but I am not sure if he has any extras or not. I will have to check and see!
Adam and I had a wild idea today to go to GNC and get stuff to do Ear Candling. It is done in a lot of spas and it's to get all of the ear wax out of your ears. It's a long hollow stick and you light the end on fire. The smoke makes a vacuuming effect and gets wax that you can't get with a q-tip. We were all amazed at what we saw when we unwrapped mine when we were done. The wax comes out hard and kind of looks like a piece or caramel candy. I decided that I would share my ear wax pictures with you, which I know you are thrilled about!

Not too much going on here, I am going to post some pictures and videos of our golfing and stuff!

Here are some random pictures from this week

Taking a break from our bike ride down to the jetty.
This was from when Lindsay's back was really bothering her and we swung by the hosipital.

She was finally able to sit down without her back killing her after the doc gave her a nice painfully shot in the arm.

Go figure...

I love how I ask Adam to write a blog, and then he only writes two sentences. I guess that just leaves me with a bunch of non sense to write! Whoop-di-dooo...

I would like to start off with Roll Tide. If you are not aware, Alabama beat (barely) LSU this weekend. Yep. Thank You. And thank you. It was a close and very ugly game, but, a win is a win these days. If I could I would go hug and kiss every LSU player that played so horribly that led us to win. I am sure Adam wouldn't mind.

Still no word from Mexico. It looks like it's not going to happen. Adam is giving it until Thursday, so if we don't hear from them by then, he is shutting it down and telling his agent to not worry about it any more. Adam wants to go to Alabama for about a month and work out at the Alabama facility. The only problem is trying to find a place to live for a month. No apartments there do a one month lease, so it has been pretty difficult to try and find a place. He usually lives with a few friends, but it seems like all of them have moved away. So if any of you know anyone that would like a wad of money and a roommate for a month, send them our way!!!! :) But, if nothing works out then he is just going to stay here in FL and I will go home. Very frustrating!!!!

Adam and I have spent the majority of our time locked up in his room. He bought a new xbox game and I bought a game for the computer, so we have been playing those all day, every day. I bought The Sims 2 and let me tell you, it is VERY addicting! I used to play it all the time in high school, but they have improved the game since then. On Saturday night we went to a comedy club for one of our friends birthday. It was A LOT of fun! The guy was really funny! I am sure that we will be going more often.

Have a good week!

The pictures are of me playing Guitar Hero on the xbox. I thought that I would share with you my new rocker moves...

I should have worn more rocker-looking clothes...but, due to the fact that our laundry was piled up to my eyeballs, I had to borrow some of his sisters shorts..thank you Kara :)

Get ready....
Get set...
GO....I didn't know I still had the cheerleading moves in me..if only my toes were pointed this would have been a decent herkie :)

Fishing at the Jetty

Lindsay and I spent some time down by the water yesterday. She layed on the beach while I spent the whole time fishing off the jetty. Didn't catch anything.

Dun dun dunnnnn

Ok, so remember how Adam likes to post very odd/embarassing pictures of me? Wellll, we were watching some home videos of Adam and his sister Kara last night and we just happen to run into this hilarious video of him and Kara on Halloween.. I would say maybe around 1990? Adam is Steve Urkel..so..sit back, relax, and enjoy the show..oh, and turn up the volume so you can hear everything....

Sooo tired...

..of hearing about Obama! Thank goodness the election is over with! The next few years are definitely going to be interesting. I have never been into politics but last night for some odd reason I was! Ok enough about that.

Not too much has been going on since the last blog. Yesterday Adam and I took it back into the day and went rollerblading around his neighborhood. It was definitely a lot harder than I remember! Adam was of course a pro as soon as he put them on. That doesn't surprise me. After only one time around the neighborhood, I was ready to go back inside! We are going to go again today, I think.

Still no word on Mexico. I wish they would hurry up and call so I could figure out what I am going to do! I have been informed by my 5 year old nephew that I need to be at his Thanksgiving lunch at school on the 12th. I am hoping I will be able to make it! Even if Adam doesn't go I will still go home for probably 2 weeks, through Thanksgiving. For now it's still a waiting game, and I am tired of waiting!

You have probably noticed that I keep changing the layout of our blog ( or, maybe you haven't). I found a website (http://www.thecutestblogontheblock.com/) with realllly cute layouts, and I am having trouble decided on just one, so I think I just am going to change it all the time!

Well, I don't really have anything else to write about! I just noticed though that Adam has not posted a blog in quite some time, so I am sure he will be next.

Adam rollerblading..please notice how he has them tied on. They have been in the garage unused for atleast 10 years, so all of the straps snapped off when he tried to buckle them.

Before we went to the Dominican. This is at Joyland..a country line dancing bar in Sarasota.

Everything changes..

I have learned that with baseball, there is no such thing as PLANS. They don't exist and never will as long as there is baseball. It has taken me a while to get used to it, so I no longer get my hopes up about anything or plan anything too far in advance. Whenever people ask me where I will be at during a specific time I can't answer them! It's funny because whenever people ask me where I live I am like, "uhhhh...I don't know." It probably confuses people but that then leads into the conversation about baseball. The whole point of this blabbing is that today Adams agent called and said that the Obregon team from Mexico didn't work out. So, once again, all of the plans changed. After calling my Mom ( who was quite upset about it all) and telling her that I won't be coming home this week, I was relieved that we would finally get settled in and finally start enjoying the off season. But, ohhhhhhhhh no, not yet. After Adam got done working out, he talked to his agent (or someone from the agency) and they said that there are a couple of other teams throwing his name around. Once again, I call my Mom and tell her that I might be coming home. It is very frustrating to me because I would like to just get settled into a routine and make some plans! Like always, we will keep you posted on all of the craziness. But, I can't say that I was sad when I found out that he wasn't going to Mexico. I am very supportive of him getting as much playing time as possible, but I also like to have Adam alllllll to myself..all of the time :) Call me selfish, but he is just so dang cute.

I have been catching up on all of my shows the I usually watch. Thank goodness for internet TV. For most shows, you can go to the website of the channel that the show is on, and you can watch any episode you want. It is great! I tried to keep up with all of them in the Dominican, but when I went to the website it said that 'only viewers in the USA could watch it' so it was useless! But it has kept me occupied for many hours yesterday and today.

My back has been feeling much better the last few days. I don't know if I mentioned it in the other blog but it has been giving me some trouble! I woke up on Thursday morning unable to roll over in the bed and my lower back was KILLING me, and my legs and feet were burning like fire. At first, I thought that maybe I was dreaming. So I help my eyes oped wide for a while and blinked a lot just to make sure that I was fully awake. I was definitely awake and was trying to figure out why I couldn't move from the waist down. I have a history of being quite the hypochondriac and making things up in my head. But when I started to get dizzy and light headed from the pain, I figured it was probably about time to wake Adam up. It was 5:30 in the morning :) We eventually got up and went to the ER and the Doctor said that it was either a herniated/slipped disk ( L5 and S1 to be exact) or a pulled muscle. The nurse gave me a very painful shot that was supposed to help the inflammation, but all I could gather was that now my back AND my arm hurt. They prescribed me a few meds, one of them being a muscle relaxer which I took and I am much better now. It still hurts a little but I am hoping that in a few days it will subside...whew.

We will post some pictures soon, we haven't done anything since being back, so there aren't any to post right now. I hope everyone has a great week. I am pretty sure it's about time to start the Thanksgiving and Christmas diet. The one that most women do right before those two holidays roll around because we know we are going to indulge in unnecessary amounts of food during those times?! I know, that was really random..but, you know me. Random.

Finally, HOME!

We have been back in Florida for a couple of days now, and we are both very relieved to be back in the country! We had quite the experience on our way back (our flight on Tuesday was cancelled), but we made it and that is all that matters!

As soon as we got home on Wednesday we took a much needed nap, then for dinner we went to Beef O'Brady's and ate a huge basket of hot wings and french fries which was amazing! We also had to run around town to get our Halloween costumes! We were very excited that we were going to be back in time for all of the fun festivities! We decided that we were going to be Rednecks/hillbillies and we found everything we needed at one store!

Since we have been back, Adam has been talking to his agent about getting set up with another winter ball team. His agent called him while we were eating at Chili's last night and told him that he will be going to Mexico to play for a team called Yaquis de Obregón. I don't think it is 100% for sure yet, but most likely that's what will be happening within the next few days. I will not be attending this trip :) I am sad that we won't be together, but it won't be for too long, and I will get to spend a lot of time with my family! So, I know that it will all work out. He is going to try to work it out where they will fly me down (or over, wherever) to visit for just a few days. So we will keep you updated on all of that!
Last night for Halloween we went out with a few friends to a few different parties. We went to a house party for a little while, then headed downtown to a big block party. There were a lot of funny costumes. It was crazy how many people were dressed up as Michael Phelps and Sarah Palin. Not too many people were dressed up like Adam and I though! Our names for the night were Earl and Bobby Sue. Adam had a mullet wig with a bandana and he wore a cut off plaid shirt with his jeans tucked into his boots. I had a wig with a bandana too, and I also had a black eye from all of the beatings I take from Earl :) The best part of my costume was my fake pregnant belly and the fake cigarette that I had in my mouth all night. Every once in a while when a lot of people were around Earl would punch my pregnant belly, it was really funny.
I hope everyone had a great Halloween, we are going to get ready to watch the Florida vs Georgia football game! Check the new photo album for the halloween pictures! ROLL TIDE!
