What to do...what to do???

The boys left this morning for a 7 day road trip to Sacramento for 4 days, then Vegas for the remaining 3.  They will have 4 games in Vegas in the 3 days that they are there, which means a double header on the last day.  It was kind of a last minute thing, but I am going to be going on the Vegas trip.  If the Angels don't keep Adam then this could potentially be our last trip to Vegas..  unless we ever go on our own, which I don't really see happening.  Most of the girls are going and we are all driving.  But, it's going to be h-o-t!!! This time of year it's usually too hot to even be in the pool, but we'll see!

The countdown until the offseason is still going strong...42 more days!  The plans for this off season are still up in the air.  It's going to be interesting to see what happens since Adam will be a free agent..whoot whoot!!

Some more good news is that I am going back to Bama soon! There isn't an official day yet because a plane ticket ain't been bought hasn't been purchased yet..but, I have to be there by the 14th because I am in a wedding on the 15th! Eeeekk!  So much to do before then..I think!

I know, I know this post is a tad bit boring, things have just been pretty calm and boring around here, just the same ol same ol! Maybe I will have more interesting things to talk about after Vegas!!

OhMySweetBabyJesus, how could I ever forget...did anyone watch The Bachelorette? Anyone???  Can I just tell you that I am totally t.o.'ed that I made a point to watch every.single.episode, just for that dumb girl to choose ED?????????? Seriously...I was Team Kiptyn and I think I might have shed a tear when she dumped him.  I'm not gonna lie. Ok.  I'm over that, thanks for letting me get the out there in the open.

Have a splendid day.

Beat The Pro...and a not-so-mild case of the swine flu....

Yesterday Adam did an interview for the news here in SLC. It's a segment called Beat The Pro and it's a charity event that raises money for muscular dystrophy. We met the news people at a golf course, and all Adam had to do was hit a golf ball, see how close he could get to the hole, and then just do a little interview. Other people from SLC will go to the golf course in a few days and try to beat his distance. They win a car. Lucky! I will try to find the link when it airs and post in on here!
Today, the Bees were supposed to start a 4 game series with the Portland Beavers There has been a little bit-o-drama 'round these parts of town about that. There will be no game tonight, due to the fact that the Portland team has 7, maybe more, players with the swine flu H1N1 virus. They were playing a series in Reno, NV and during batting practice a few guys left to go to the hospital, and tested positive for it. So now, they are quarantined to their hotel rooms for 48 hours (maybe longer). The rest of the team was supposed to go to the hospital today to see if they had it. I only know all of this juicy info because Adam has a friend on the Portland team, and he called him as soon as the rumors started flying around! I mean, of course I hope that the guys start to feel better, but then again, OFF DAY!!! What really sucks is that today, July 24th, is the biggest game of the season here in SLC. It's Pioneer Day , which is a day that Mormons celebrate...but I'm not going to really go into what it is, because, well, I think it's kind of stupid. So if you want to read about it just click on the link! Back to my point. Tonight is supposed to be the game that is completely sold out, 15,000 + people there, & fireworks. We are talkin' lots and lots of money. Not happening.

Instead of the big game, there is going to be a home run derby, which Adam is participating in, and then there is going to be a high school exhibition game which the guys have to stay and sign autographs. Blah. I mean, whatever, kind of dumb if you ask me.
A few days ago while the guys were on a road trip, we (the girls) had one of our friends come over and paint our toe nails. She does nails for a living in Park City so she came to our house and made our piggies purtty...and glittery!! I love them!!!

A few of us girls at a game.

Our pretty toenails that Bri did! See the weird looking foot that has the pink polish on them. Yes, the one that looks like it has fingers for toes?? That's my foot. Click on the picture to make it bigger, you have to see all of the glitter!

Beat The Pro.

That's the news guy...juggling golf balls.

14.2 feet from the hole.

See that bump on Adams leg? He got hit with a ball.

BFF's?

The interview.

I'm not sure if you've heard...

but, I'm famous. We're famous. The Sting Stings, that is. Allow me to explain.

Is anyone familiar with the new singer band thingy-ma-jig called the Ting Tings? We are so-much-cooler.
I now want to introduce you to the Sting Stings. I will even post the link to our music video that is on YouTube (which, by the way, has 215 views. Thank you. Thank you.)

Happy Birthday HunterBoo!!!

Today is a sad, sad day. Want to know why? Hunter turns 6 today. ::sniff sniff:: Most would think this would be an exciting day. "Ohhhh, how exciting, he's getting so big!!!"
That's not really how I'm feeling!
I don't want him to grow up! I want him to be little forever! He is the sweetest "little boy" I know, and he just might be the funniest kid I know. He says the most random stuff (wonder where he gets that from?!?!) and has such a big heart. So without further ado, here is a load of pictures...along with a few fun facts about the birthday boy.

Hunt & his Mom, Brooke

Look how tiny he was :-(

Sometimes he has quite the attitude...

Look at those man boobs!!!

What? He had a booger.

Robby, Hunter, & Brooke at his 3rd birthday party...the last birthday Brooke would be at :(
Hunter's Mom died of cancer about a month and a half after he turned 3

He's kinda crazy...like me.

But he can also be a big-ol-baby too.

Did I mention that he was crazy?

Before I know it, he's gonna be driving...that's a scary thought.

~Fun Facts About Hunter~

~Both of his pinkies are crooked...majorly crooked.

~Most of us call him HunterBoo, and I don't know why

~Some of the best conversations you might have with Hunter is when he's on the toilet. True story.

~He loves rap music and when he wants you to turn up the volume he says,"Cut it up."

~He wasn't the cutest baby

~He is alllll boy (that's what happens when you're raised by just your Dad!)

~Once while at the doctors office with me (with the waiting room full of people) Hunter farted and blamed it on me. Totally embarrassing.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUNTERBOO!!!!!

all star break 2009

The All Star Break is pretty much what every baseball player looks forward to.  It's a 3 day break with absolutely NO baseball (unless they make the All Star team, then they have to play)! To most, it doesn't sound too exciting, but these guys get one day off a month, and most of the time that day is spent on an airplane.  3 days.  It's like spring break.  The girls work out to get in shape for the lake, and the guys secretly hope that they don't make the All Star team.  It's amazing.

This year our roommate Terry was chosen to play in the All Star game.  It's a huge honor to be one of the players on the team, and I am positive that if Adam ever did get picked to play, we would go, it's just that 3 days with no baseball..it's Heaven.  The game was in Portland, OR so Tanner, Terry, & Asher flew up there on Sunday!

We, on the other hand, geared up to spend one of our free days on the lake.  Well, I say lake, it's actually a reservoir.  And to tell you the truth, I don't really know what that is.  For the past 2 or 3 years we have go to Jordanelle, in Park City.  The water is always freeeeezing, making it really hard to enjoy the jet skis, innertube, and wake board.  So this year we decided to try going to a different place.  It was past Park City, but it was a smaller body of water, which meant that it would be warmer.  Hallelu-yer! We also planned on spending the night there.  I'm talking about camping.  Not really my cup of tea, but I was up for it! Instead of staying in a tent, we all stayed in a yurt.  What is that, you ask??

It's pretty much a really nice tent, with bunk beds, a recliner, a futon, and a heater.  But trust me when I say that the heater was pointless.  We froze.

The day of the lake though was perfect! The weather was amazing (about 81 degrees), the water wasn't as cold as the other years, but still a little chilly, and the time spent just hanging out by the water with friends was so much fun! It's nice to all hang out together outside of the baseball field :)

We had 2 jet skis, one big ol' boat with the "Rampage half-pipe" innertube, skis, and a wake board.  I love riding on jet skis, I could have done that all day..well actually, I pretty much did!

Only one teensy tiny little thing went wrong.  So, I had every intention of taking Big Bertha (our Nikon D60) out to the lake.  You know, taking pictures of Adam mid-air on the wake board, pics of me and the girls hanging out, me skiing..you get it...good pictures.  Well, I had the camera.  But I forgot the friggin' MEMORY CARD!  Ahhhhh! I hated myself!!!!!! There I was, all set to take a picture of our beautiful view of the lake in the valley, when all of a sudden I turn on the camera, try to focus, and I read "No SD card inserted"..I wanted to kick my own a**.  But I got over it, and decided that we would just take pictures with our little camera.  I was mad.   But I got over it and ate away all of my anger.  I'm not kidding, you would have thought that I had never seen food in my entire life.  I had 2 hot dogs, an oatmeal pie, bites of Adams sammich , 47 Doritos, 35 Pringles, 234 jars of pickles, a handful of Jalapeno Cheetos, 2 Lunchables, and 2 cheeseburgers.  That was just the first day.  People probably thought that was Shamu scootin' around on the jet skis.  Blahhhhh.

After the long day of acting like compete idiots on water boating, eating, skiing, and hanging out, we decided it was time to set up camp...in the yurt.  Darcy and I had gone to the grocery store to buy  the necessities to make smores!  We built a fire, cooked out, make smores, held hands and sang kumbya , gazed at the stars, and just had a good ol' time!  You don't realize how fun it is to look at the stars until you live in a big city, where you can't even see the stars!  We finally went to bed around 1am.

We woke up bright and early the next morning, cleaned up our area, then headed back home! We. Were. Exhausted.  And burnt.  Apparently we aren't good with the sunscreen.  We took a nap as soon as we got home, then later on that night we went on a date! Adam took me to get a milkshake then we were off to the movies! Being the lovely boyfriend that he is, Adam let me choose the movie, so we saw The Proposal ! It was actually really funny, and I secretly think that Adam enjoyed it! After the movie was over, Adam surprised me and took me to Wal-Mart to buy another Sims game for me! He is the best!!!! We came home, he played his Xbox while I played my game!

Yesterday, the last day of the break, Adam and I went to the local community pool near our house.  Yep, the one with the high dive! We got our tan on for a little bit, but then I had to show Adam my amazing high dive skillz.  Ok, I wouldn't actually call them skillz, it doesn't take a genius to jump of and scream like a mad man.  But I just had to show him that I could actually do it! And do you know what he did??? He showed me up by going on the very highest of them all...and doing a flip.  Boys.  They're so competitive!  We left the pool, came home and got ready for dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory, then came home and played our games!

PPPhhhheeeeewww! I am exhausted!  I took Adam to the airport this morning.  Back to the real world.  Baseball...gotta love it!  They are only gone for 4 days, and I must say, I miss Adam already...and I am actually ready to attend the games again :)  It was a much needed break, but it had to end..now the countdown begins!!! 52 more games!!!

Well, Darcy just got here so time for me to go! Ta Ta!!

long time no talk!

Sorry about that little blogging hiatus that I didn't really mean to go on.  This last home stand was the longest one of the season, Adam was home for almost 2 weeks straight..can I get ahallelu-yer?!?!  So much has happened and I don't really know where to start....oh wait, yes..yes I do...

Adams parents came into town for a few days (the 9th-13th to be exact).  We had a good time at the games, ate way too much a lot of good food.  Sometime in between eating and baseball games Adams mom gave Tanner, Adam, and I a much needed haircut :)  Good times.

I hope I can say this without jinxing anything, but Adam has been hitting the ball like it's his job!..well, it is his job, it's just a saying that people use when they are doing something really well...but now I don't really know where this is going.  Ummm..Yes, he has been doingmuch better at the plate! There have only been 2 games in the past 10 that they've played where he didn't get a hit.  Most of the time he has been 2 for 4...with a home run somewhere in there! What what?!?!?!  All he needed was a few good hits and a HR to bring back his confidence and now we are back on track!

During this past home stand was the All Star Break..and that needs a post of it's own...so until then I am going to post a few pictures that we took while Adams parents were here!

Finally got that picture of Adam and his Dad that I needed!

Kim, Adam, and Janine!

I don't think that's how Adam normally smiles, but I can't be too picky, can I?

This was after his parents took us to The Cheesecake Factory!

At a baseball game! That's one of Adams friends that he played with at Bama!

Finally...Pictures!

So, it was too difficult to post every picture individually, so I uploaded all of the pictures to this website. There are 3 albums, but if you are having trouble looking at the pics then leave a comment and I will try to fix it get Adam to fix it! There are several pages in some albums so make sure you look at them all! In the bottom left corner there should be a little clicky thingy-ma0jig that says "next page"....just incase you missed it!

Picture Time!

Since I was unable to post pictures during my trip back home, the next few posts will be full of pictures. Actually, they will only be pictures!
I got home yesterday after a long plane ride with the two loudest and obnoxious little girls sitting behind me the whole way home. If I could have jumped out of the plane to escape, I would have. And it didn't help that one of the little girls was named Lindsay, so as I am almost asleep I kept hearing my name being yelled by their mother. For the last 30 minutes of the flight, the other little girl kept saying, in a high pitched whiny voice"Bit Mooooommmmmy, I can't see Maw Maws houuusee..." she said it over, and over, and over again. Ahhhhh!
Adam was at the airport waiting to pick me up but I had to take him straight to the field. He informed me that "every article of clothing he owned was dirty" which is code for please go home and do my laundry. I'm not dumb people, that is what he meant. But oh, did I go home?? Pppssshhh, shyeah right! I took my butt straight to the pool. Priorities people! I met Darcy, Lori, and Candice at the Sheraton where some pretty interesting shenanigans went down....Story time...
So you know, we were all just getting our tan on, dipping in the pool occasionally, complaining about how hot it was out side, talkin' some girl talk. When all of a sudden...dun dun dunnnnn.. a few players from the Tacoma Rainiers (who the Bees are playing in this series) walked by. I mean, I know we are ridiculously good looking the bomb.com and all, but they were staring like they had never seen girls before! To make it even better though, they walked inside the hotel and tried to be sneaky and they STARED AT US THROUGH THE "TINTED" WINDOW! I wouldn't lie to you people. After a while we forgot about it, until one of the Sheraton workers walked into the pool area.
"Oh no, they are coming to bust us for laying out here...quick, what is our excuse?!?!?!"
He walked up to us and said,"Excuse me, there are a few guys staying here and they wanted me to tell you that there is a big baseball game going on tonight, if you would like tickets?!"
HHHHAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
We told the poor little messenger to tell the sleazeballs that we were the wives/girlfriends of the Bees players...and that we would see them there that night. Talk about a shoot down! Seriously, does that really work for guys? Sending out a messenger? Good times. I told Adam about it and he clearly didn't think it was as funny as we did :)
Today I started the laundry then Adam and I headed to the grocery store. We came home really quick and Adam made some Talapia and rice with black beans. Nom Nom Nom.
Alright well, I better get started on posting these pictures!
Oh yeah, don't forget to look at the picture below this post, it's Adams Moms birthday today!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Have a great Birthday Mom
Love,

Adam and Lindsay

Home Schweeeet Home!

Well, I just sat down in the den to write this purtty little post, but as soon as I did my dad started sawing logs (aka snoring) and I just now noticed a big-o-bug flying around my scraggly mop head..so...let me just move rooms right here real quick (that's redneck talk for ya)....

Ahhhh yes, much nicer, I mean, quieter (is that even a word??).

Holy guacamole, I have been so busy since I have been back in Alabama! I don't even really know where to begin.

"How about the beginning, dufus??"

Good point. Thank you.

Well, we got back from DC Sunday afternoon and my Mom was waiting at the airport for Colby and I. Oh, but wait, first things first..ummm, everyone say it with me- Hellooooooo humidity, you were not missed. Ok, back to reality. I was really excited to see my Mom, but what I was mostly excited about was the Taco Casa that she brought me. Hallaluyer!! I was in Heaven (actually I was in a Toyota Camry, but really, what's the difference?). I don't think I did anything too interesting that night besides sit on the couch and watch the tube with mi madre. Trust me, I wouldn't have been able to walk anywhere if my life had depended on it. The DC trip did me in with the walking. No thanks. Ohhh but I did watch a scary tv show about a guy murdering his girlfriend, and I was such a pansy that I asked my Mom if she would sleep in my bed with me. Make fun all you want, but we live in the boonies (side note: just looked up the actual definition of "boonies" and this is what I got- "a rural country or jungle". Not only is my blog here for you entertainment but now it is educational. You're welcome!) so I was scared! I slept in pretty late that morning and it was the best-thing-ever. Oh how I missed sleeping in. I got ready and met one of my best friends, Brittney, for lunch..at Taco Casa. I know, I know but I have to eat it for every meal to make up for lost time. It was so much fun catching up with her and I can't wait to come back in August when she gets married. ::sniff sniff::
After scarffing down all of the food I ordered I was off to the movie theatre to meet my cousin, Anna Lisa, to watch The Hangover, again. Adam and I went to go see it in SLC but good gravy I love that movie. It is HI-larious and I totally recommend that everyone go and see it. After almost peeing my pants from laughing the movie was over with I headed over to visitate with Mimi & Pops for a tad bit before I headed back home.
Tuesday I got my tan on with my other best friend, Kristen. We had dinner plans that night so I didn't stay too long stayed just long enough to get lobster-fied then headed home. While resting that day I just so happened to get my Mom hooked on The Sims. Thank ya Jesus, I'm no longer the only Sims addict out there. It took a while to teach her how to work all of the cheat codes and junk but I think she has finally figgered it out :) Later that night Kristen, Page, and I went to Tokyo (Japanese place) and OhMySweetHeavens I ate so much food. I made it home without barfing up fwied wice..errrr...fried rice I mean, and I took my fat butt straight to bed. Hunter spent the night with us that night, but I was spared having to sleep with him because he slept with Papa Ken (my step dad).
The next morning I took Hunter to Krispy Kreme for breakfast. He was so excited! Me, on the other hand, I was excited too, up until Hunter insisted that we jam out to ZZtop the whole way there. What Hunter wants, Hunter gets. We watched them make doughnuts for a while after we ate then we left. I had to get some clear shoes for Brittney's wedding, so we went to Shoe Carnival where they just so happen to be having Buy One Get One Half Off. So of course Princess Hunter had to have some new shoes. Whatev. Somehow we finally ended up back at home, but then had to get back in the car to go get fitted for my bridesmaid dress! I will be posting some pics of that later. That night I was meeting some old friends from high school for dinner. We met up at a Mexican place and it was so much fun! We haven't been together (or at least all at once) since high school and I think we could have stayed there for hours catching up. But, we weren't and I was home pretty early!
Today, Colby and I drove down (or is it over??) to my Grandparents house in Montgomery! It's only a 2 hour drive so we got here early enough to go swimming and hang out with the fam. My Grandfather cooked ribs that I thought I might love more than Adam Pavkovich life itself. We took some pretty funny pictures today that I will try to post at some point.
So, I think that's it so far, pphheeeeewww that was a lot of typing. If you have made it this far into the post then give yourself a high five...and just pretend it's from me.
Tomorrow we are leaving Montgomery in the afternoon and heading back to Tuscaloosa. My niece will be with us tomorrow night and on the 4th so I am really excited to see her! Then I leave early Sunday morning and I will finally get to see my love!!!! I have missed him very very much and I wish he could be here with me :(
Ok..time to go to bed..but I must warn you, tomorrow there will be a few posts that are just pictures....like, lots and lots of pictures...beware......
Nighty Night homies!!!!

I'm Back!

Whew!! It's been a long week! I have been running around like crazy! And I can't believe that my trip is almost over, already! I left SLC at 10:05am on Wednesday (the 24th) and flew to Baltimore to meet up with the rest of my family! They got in a little earlier than I did, so they had to wait on me to get there, but while they were waiting they went and picked up the rental car church van. Did I mention that there were 8 of us on this trip?! Yes, so a rental car was out of the question! Ok, so it wasn't an actual church van, but it sure did look like it! We drove from Baltimore to Washington DC which was about an hour or so. When we got to the hotel we put our stuff up and then headed off to dinner. And to be honest with you, I really don't remember where we went. I'm sure it will pop up into my head in the middle of this post though. Hmm, after that what did we do?!?!? Oh geeze, I have no clue what we did for the rest of that day! Oh well. We woke up bright and early the next morning and started off the day! I had planned before to pack comfy clothes and shoes since we were going to do so much walking. What I didn't plan on was looking like the typical tourist. But I did, backpack and all. I know, I should be ashamed of myself :) Once everyone was ready we headed to the tour of the Capitol, then went to a couple of museums, went to the White House, then to dinner! I was pooped. My feet, on the other hand, OhSweetBabyJesus. I don't even know the correct word for the amount of pain they were in. I think if I had to walk one more mile I was gonna barf. It probably didn't help that we took shifts to push Hunter in the stroller that my Dad got once we arrived. I mean, really, I know he is 5 (almost 6) but would you want to walk around all day long at that age either? Didn't think so. And frankly, none of us really wanted to listen to him complain all day either. The stroller was probably the best idea I have ever had..in my life. He didn't complain one bit about anything all day! (okay, I take that back, he probably did, but it certainly wasn't about walking...)
The next day we were heading to King's Dominion. We were all really excited about going there! It's an amusement park and a water park all in one place..good times. We all kind of split up once we got everything in the lockers. We rode roller coasters, went down water slides, acted like little hoodlum children, you know, typical water park behavior. By the end of the day, my feet felt like they were swollen up to the size of an elephant. I thought I might die. Literally, die from walking. Who knew?!?
Saturday was our last full day there, so we just ran by a few memorials that we missed on the first day, went by the National Cathedral, then we drove over to Mt. Vernon. That's where George Washington lived, and actually, it was one of my favorite places that we went to while we were there! I think I would have loved living back in those times. But only if I was rich..or related to George Washington, and I don't think we are related. We stayed there until it closed then went to dinner. By the time we got home it was time to pack up and go to bed! Oh wait, I lied. We didn't go straight to bed. We went to the pool for about 4 hours. Because apparently the 8+ hours at the water park the day before just wasn't enough.
Sunday we had to wake up, go to breakfast, drive back to Baltimore and check in at the airport. I never knew how hard it was for 8 people to get to the airport at one time! We had a blast in DC, and it's something that we will remember for a long time..I loved it! My Dad is the best!
I have A LOT of pictures to post, but I have had trouble uploading all of the to Blogger, so I am trying to upload them to an album for you to look at. Oh..wait..ok..nope, not going to be able to load the pictures until I get back to SLC..sorry! The internet is being extremely sssllloooowww right now. Also, when I get back to Salt Lake I will write about being back home in BAMA!
I should probably mention that I miss Toast reallllllly bad :) I'm sure he misses me too...or he better!
