19 weeks

How far along? 19 weeks

Total weight gain/loss:
I feel like I've come to a halt in gaining weight.  I feel like my stomach hasn't gotten bigger, just rounding out a little bit, ya know? Hence the collage.

Maternity clothes?   If I want to be comfortable then they are a must! I'm loving the maternity shirts because they're much longer than non-maternity!

Stretch marks?   So far so good!

Sleep: Much better thanks to my our new feather-mattress-topper thingy my Dad bought me us! It's Heaven!

Best moment this week: Shopping for Baby P! My Mom got her two super cute outfits and then I went up to my Dads house in Huntsville where me, him, and his fiance Melissa went on a may-jah shopping spree! I'm talking, major.  Like, had to buy one of those big plastic bins to store everything in.  And and AND I went to Pottery Barn Kids in Birmingham on my way home and got her baby bedding!

Movement: Baby Girl LOVES some music.  More specifically, T-Pain's "Buy U A Drank" and Lil' Mama's "Lip Gloss". She kicks up a storm when I'm jamming out!

Food cravings:  I'm on a cheeseburger kick.  It's the only kind of meat I really crave.  I haven't had a steak since being preggo which is really rare for me!

Gender: We have had another confirmation that it's a girl!

Labor Signs: None

Belly button in or out?
In..but getting shallow-er....more shallow? Whatever. It's weird and gross.

What I miss: Not having heartburn.

What I am looking forward to: The Bachelor being over with so I don't have to listen to Brad announce every episode that he has an "intense connection with all the girls".  Oh, you mean "what am I looking forward to" in my pregnancy? Silly me...um....pool time! The weather has been so nice lately and I can't wait to float in some water all Shamu-like!

Weekly Wisdom:   If Tums is all you  have for dinner at night then so be it.

Milestones: Well, is 19 weeks half way or is it 20 weeks? If it's 19 then hall-a-lu-yer I have survived half of a pregnancy!

Bama Baseball

Last Friday was the first game for the Alabama baseball team.  Honestly, I had no idea that there was a game until about, oh, I'd say 20 minutes before it started! Shows how much Adam and I actually see each other these days! Well, we see each other but that last thing either of us want to talk about is work, school, or baseball.  Anywho, I ended up going to the game on Sunday since it was nice out, I only planned on staying for a few innings but my cousin Anna Lisa found me while I was on my way out and I ended up going to sit with her and her boyfriend for the rest of the game.  I have to admit, baseball isn't much fun to watch when Adam isn't playing.  He did look awfully adorbs in his coaching gear, standing on the first base line, fist bumping the guys, and doing WhateverItIsCoachesDo with his stop watch.  He looked like he had a great time! They left for Mobile today for the first road trip.  I think they get back Sunday night which means Toasty won't be here for my birthday. Wahhhh!

Sorry this post is so short but I figured I would give an update on my baby daddy, I'm going to go watch the weather because apparently we have tornados headed this way. Shocker.

18 weeks

How far along? 18 weeks (Sorry, I skipped 17 weeks!)

Total weight gain/loss:
Just about 6 or 7 pounds

Maternity clothes?   More and more! Thankfully leggings are "in" right now so I wear those a lot.  I can still wear my regular jeans but need to go get a Bella Band or something so I can unbutton them! I also went and bought a few maternity items last week..thanks Dad :)

Stretch marks?   None! Although my scar from a previous surgery looks like one!

Sleep: I've been so very tired this past week! I went to bed at 8:30 on Friday night and could barely keep my eyes open at work on Saturday.

Best moment this week: Finding out it's a girl!

Movement: She definitely moves a lot at night! I think she moves a lot during the day too but I am too busy to stop and feel for it.

Food cravings:
Sonic! I've been going there for lunch and dang it man, it's so good!!

Gender: Girl!! Yay!!!

Labor Signs: None

Belly button in or out?
In

What I miss: Fitting into my clothes comfortably.  I went shopping and very quickly got depressed because nothing fit right!

What I am looking forward to: Going back to the doctor this Friday for another ultrasound! We still kept our appointment with my doctor even though we already found out what it is.  I want as many ultrasounds as I can get!

Weekly Wisdom:   I'm straight up outta wisdom.

Milestones: I'm almost half way there!

BOOM! Look at that view! Please excuse the 51 scars on my stomach.  There's the ol' belly button ring scar above the belly button, then a scar on the bottom of my belly button from another surgery, then another one to the left (but for the sake of this picture it's to the right) of my stomach from another surgery! Sicko!

This has been an exciting week! After finding out it's a girl we can finally start picking out names and most importantly, start shopping! I've found so many cute websites and can't wait to order some cute out fits for the little butterbean!

Suprise!

Yahoooo! Adam and I are so incredibly excited! I know in the last blog I said we couldn't go back to the doctor until the 25th, and we are still going then! But but BUT, a girl I work with has a good friend who does ultrasounds at the hospital here, and she made a quick phone call (with the bribery that I would give her a free massage!) and the sweet girl said to come today! Thank ya Jesus, I didn't have to wait! Luckily, Adam was able to come with me, too!

This time I ate some chocolate & drank a Diet Dr. Pepper before we went.  When she started it, of course, the little booger wasn't cooperating.  Her legs weren't crossed but she was definitely in a weird position.  We looked, and looked, and looked some more but couldn't get a really clear picture because she was facing the wrong way.  After about 10 minutes I couldn't hold my pee any longer and Sheila (the tech) said that maybe emptying my bladder would help a little.

While in the bathroom I did something to my stomach that's probably illegal in 47 states pushed and poked on my stomach hoping to make the little nugget turn a little. And BAM..Sheila started the ultrasound again and we were golden! The baby had completely flipped ways and was spreading them for all the world to see (hopefully for the last time in her life) and we could see the "3 lines" which means it's a girl! Sheila gave us a few pictures, but the one's that show her "goods" aren't that good because once it was picture time the bambino was all over the place.

So, we will still go to the appointment on the 25th with my doctor, because who doesn't want an ultrasound as much as possible? Hopefully then they will get a clear picture of her girly parts, because I just know everyone is dying to see those, right? No? MMkkay, now it's getting awkward.

So boys and girls, let the shopping begin! I will gladly pass out our address to anyone who wants to send us cute girly things! I kid, I kid.  Or not.  I mean, I'm all about presents! I, on the other hand, have a lot of shopping to do.  I don't think Adam even comprehends what is about to hit him, and our bank account.  OH SNAP!!!!!!!!

Sorry these are crappy pictures, we don't have a scanner so I just took a picture of the picture with my iPhone.

Look at her cute little nose!!

Looking at us with her mouth open! She's all,"Hey, why you jabbin' me in the head lady? If I wanted to turn around I'll do it on my own time! Se-cur-ity!"

February 14, 2011

Still a mystery!

Well, the little turd bambino would not spread it's legs today! But trust me, it was not due to lack of preparation on my part! I downed a Mt. Dew and ate a whole sugary pack of Shockers before we went! He/she has their legs crossed the entire time, like just chillin' sitting indian style! It was all,"hey Mom & Dad, no big deal or anything, you've only been waiting for this day forever but I'm more comfortable sitting like this. And Mom, just for payback you're really going to regret that Mt. Dew and candy in about 27 minutes! KthanksbyeHOLLA!"

Seriously? Seriously.

Maybe it was the fact that I had already said ," I am NOT leaving here today without knowing what it is.  I will lay on that table all day if I have to!" Yeah, about that, turns out those nurses and techs have better things to do than try to get babies to spread their legs.  She looked for about 3 minutes and decided she was bored and I should come back in 4 weeks.  This is where my inner Bon Qui Qui kicked in and I was all,"Ummmm, rude!"

Have no fear boys and girls, I don't have to wait 4 weeks, I go back on Friday the 25th at 10:15!

Good news is that I now have a hunch that it's a girl.  Because when she was trying to see what it was every now and then you could catch a little glimpse of what might be there..or I guess, what wasn't there..if you know what I'm sayin'.  So yes, I feel like even if there was a little somethin' somethin' there, we might have maybe saw it, but there was nothing! I am officially team girl! But I refuse to buy anything until we know because I will jinx it I just know it! I will post the video once it's finished loading on YouTube!

Oh, but then my appointment got even better.  After the ultrasound they had us (me, Adam, and my Mom) go back out into the waiting room until Dr. Ray was was ready for us.  Adam ended up leaving because he had baseball. My Mom stayed and when they called me back again she said she would just wait out in the waiting room.  Doctor came in, said to come back in 2 weeks, then I was on my merry way.  At the little desk where you make your next appointment was a long line & I started to get really, really, really hot a dizzy.  I kept fanning myself and then it was my turn.  The girl said,"Ok, two weeks. Let's resched-...." and I'm all, "Oh $#!@, I will be right back, I'm gonna puke," and took off to the bathroom where a plethora of liquid and colorful shockers came roaring up.  I paint a beautiful picture, don't I? I took care of bizznazz and went and made my appointment, and left.  Totally forgetting about my Mom.  That made for a very confusing phone call but that's neither here nor there.  Point is, I still don't know what I'm growing and I am pissed.  MMMkay? I came home and cried like a baby (because I am mature like that) because I have been quite the delight lately.  To put it best (as Callie on Grey's said).....

I'm a hormonal casserole.

The End.

Baby from behind (see the spine?)

Face on left, arm by mouth, and arrow pointing to a foot!

Wassup!!!!

Boy- 5 Girl- 8

Hmm...inneresting.  I still think it's  a boy though.  I asked Adam last night what he thought it was and he jumped up and said,"BOY!!!"  Then I said,"No, really, what do you think it is?" (Because I know when he's not telling the truth!) and he sat down and said,"A girl."  Ummm, 'scuse me, where's the excitement? Rude!

So, he thinks girl, I think boy.  We shall see! My appointment is at 2:30, which means by 3:30 you will be able to find my Mom and I at the mall doing some damage in Baby Gap!
