Backtracking

Before birthing our 7 pound meatball baby, life was all about Adam and I. Mostly, me. But, occasionally Adam too. Now that Presley is head honcho and that's basically all I ever talk about I realize that there are a few events that have taken place that I never blogged about!

Or maybe I did, but I'm just too lazy to go back and check.

In May Adam finally graduated from the University of Alabama! I was (and still am) so proud of him. While he was finishing up school he was also helping coach the baseball team, and also helping me out at home.

He didn't attend graduation because there was a baseball game. But he did get one of the guys to take some super cheesy (horrible) pictures of him in a borrowed cap & gown.

Also in May, I quit my job. Some things were happening with all of the massage therapists pay and they didn't want to work with me on changing my schedule. So, I said HOLLA! But, for realz, I left on good terms, and I really do miss everyone I worked with! I had already been working at a different place downtown on the weekends. Now I work there only on Friday and Saturdays and it works out perfect!

With Adam graduated and me only working 2 days a week we were also able to take PDizzle out of daycare! If you know me at all then you also know that I'm not the best SAHM and was actually super bummed about taking her out. But, we are a month into it and so far it's been great!

Adam is still waiting on a coaching job and has had a few things come up but they haven't been exactly what he's interested in doing. I wish I knew what I was talking about when I say something about "after the college world series there should be more job movements going on...blah blah blah" but I don't.

Next week our lease is up so we are moving to the lake! One of Adams professors has a very nice house on the lake that we are staying in for the summer while he and his wife go to their other house in Africa.

I know.

Africa.

Every summer they get someone to move in to take care of their yard and their dog, Abby.

As soon as Adam says "I just have to mow the grass once a week" I almost poo my pants because WE ALL KNOW ADAM IS TOO PRETTY TO MOW THE GRASS!

The dog? He can handle that.

Using power tools, changing flat tires, and driving heavy duty equipment isn't exactly Toasty's forte. (LOVE YOU BABE!)

Oh, and their dog?

It's a St. Bernard.

Looks like Presleys thighs are going to be Abby's first meal!

Anywho, we move on the 27th. I won't be the least bit sad to leave our hood. I don't remember what it's like to live outside the ghetto, if you will.

No Big Foot living above us? WHAT!

People who don't blare the bass in their car at 2 AM? I can't wait!

Young boys saying, "Hey guh, you need help pushin' yo baybay's strolla'?"

I won't miss it!

eleven months

**Thats as good as it gets, she won't stay still. I can't deal with that**

Weight:
Around 24 pounds. She's finally reached the "slimming up because she's mobile" phase now. Her tummy isn't as round. But the thighs? Yeah, those mugs are still fat!

Height:
I don't think there has been much of a change there. We go to the doctor soon, but I'd guess around 29 inches.
Clothing Size:
12-18 months, but leaning more towards the 18 months size!

Diapers:
Size 3 still! At night she wears the size 4 of Huggies Overnights. They're a little big but those things are amazingly thick and can hold tons of pee!

Feeding:
We are down to about 2 bottles of formula a day, and honestly we could do without those. One in the morning and one at night. Other than that it's straight up table foods! She loves cheese, yogurt, turkey dogs, rice and vegetables, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese..basically anything! I need some more finger food ideas though, I don't want her to live off of chicken nuggets and macaroni.

Hair/Eyes:
Her hair has gotten much more curly this month! Sometimes it's straight, too! Her eyes are still green, and I don't think that'll change!

Sleep:
She goes to bed around 7:30 and sleeps peacefully until around 7:00. Then, when she wakes up I toss her a bottle and she will drink it and sometimes go back to bed for a little while! Then she takes a morning nap (around 1 hour long) and an afternoon nap (around 1.5-2 hours long).

Fun Stuff:
Still not walking. But we don't really encourage it either, so that may be our fault.

Can say "Mama, Gaga, Papa, bye bye, dog, uh-huh, and Rah Rah (my aunt)"

Will nod yes or no if she does or doesn't want something

Blows kisses like it's her job

She's super sneaky and get's into everything

No longer lets me rock her to sleep. I die.

Drinks her weight in juice

Went to the rodeo and the skating rink for the first time

Loves the pool, homie ain't scurred of the water!

Next month? 12 months old?

Hold me.

**ALSO ALSO ALSO! New blog design coming soon! The sweet girl designing it had to go out of town for an emergency, so as soon as she gets back you won't have to look at this horrible background anymore!**

on hold

As you can see, I totally screwed up my old blog design. That's what happens when DramaBaby is asleep and Mom's all hyped up on coffee.

And I just can't blog when my set up is all ghetto and junk, I don't even want to look at that huge picture taking up 1/2 the page. Seriously though? Why's it gotta be so big?

Anywhoozle, a new blog design is underway so have no fear, I'll be back as soon as you can't count my nose hairs in the header. Mmmkay?

Until then, I'll be chasing around the most mischievous chick that I ever did see. Ever had to dig out fireplace pebbles from your kids mouth? An earring? A whole sheet of tissue paper? Bark? iPhone earbuds? A tampon (UNUSED...Jesus, I'm not that irresponsible) Old crusty Pasta?.....

Yeah, me neither.

what a difference a year can make

This exact time last year, this was me.

Woof.
